Adivi Sesh’s latest action drama, Dacoit, continues its robust box office march, drawing attention not only for its collections but also for the reactions it’s stirring among fans. Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film has posted nearly matching Day 1 and Day 2 numbers, signaling a steady run despite mixed critical reception.
After his recent string of successful thrillers, Sesh’s collaboration with Mrunal Thakur and a talented supporting cast including Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Sunil has kept audiences curious. The film, produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and presented by Annapurna Studios, saw exceptional occupancy in the Telugu states and a remarkable reception overseas, crossing $1 million globally with a significant $760K haul from the USA alone. Expectations were high for his Telugu acting debut, but, as per fan comments, "there are hardly any standout moments, gripping dialogues, or thrilling scenes involving him."
On the other hand, Gyaani’s background score has become a major talking point. Viewers and critics alike are praising how his compositions elevate the film’s tense and emotional sequences, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
