Bobby Deol’s much-awaited film Bandar has not managed to find box office success, despite earning glowing reviews for both the actor and director Anurag Kashyap. The film, which generated anticipation given Kashyap’s recent resurgence, has failed to convert critical acclaim into audience turnout.

Kashyap, known for his bold storytelling, teamed up with Bobby Deol in what many critics described as one of his strongest works in years. While the film drew praise for Deol’s commanding performance, theatre occupancy remained low across major cities. As per reports, Bandar has only managed to collect around ₹4 crore after nearly a week in release, making it one of the year's notable commercial disappointments.

The film faced stiff competition from larger releases, further hampering its ability to sustain momentum at the ticket counters. Social media buzz has been largely positive about the performances, but this did not translate into increased footfalls. The team’s efforts and strong critical reception could not overcome the challenge of a crowded release window and limited audience engagement.

With box office collections stagnating, Bandar is now expected to make its way to OTT platforms soon, offering fans another chance to experience what has been termed a standout collaboration between Deol and Kashyap.
