Niharika Konidela’s latest production, Raakaasaa, is making headlines after raking in an impressive ₹22.60 crore worldwide in just ten days. The horror-comedy, led by Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika, has become a surprise summer hit, drawing families in large numbers to theatres across Telugu states.
Director Manasa Sharma helms this lively entertainer, marking another notable step in her career. Produced under Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Zee Studios, the film also features energetic performances from Vennela Kishore, Tanikella Bharani, Getup Srinu, and Brahmaji. The music, composed by Anudeep Dev, adds to the film’s spirited vibe.
After a strong opening weekend where Raakaasaa outperformed its competitor Biker, the film saw its weekday numbers stabilize, thanks to positive word-of-mouth and repeat viewings. As per sources, families have been flocking in groups, with children and adults equally entertained by the film’s humour and imaginative sequences. Key comic tracks, especially those involving Sangeeth and Getup Srinu, are getting enthusiastic applause in theatres.
To further boost turnout, the makers introduced a flat ₹100 ticket rate at all single screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from April 10, making it even more accessible for group outings. With steady collections and ongoing audience buzz, Raakaasaa looks poised to continue its successful theatrical run throughout the summer.
