Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film, Love Insurance Kompany, has wrapped up its theatrical journey with box office figures that fell short of expectations. The romantic drama, directed by Vignesh Shivan and co-produced by Nayanthara, generated considerable curiosity before release but could not sustain the momentum once it hit screens.
Pradeep, known for consistently delivering ₹100 crore blockbusters with his previous three outings, saw his impressive streak come to an end with this film. The official statement from the makers revealed that Love Insurance Kompany grossed ₹66.47 crore worldwide over its 25-day theatrical run—a number considered underwhelming given the film’s scale and the anticipation surrounding it.
Produced by Lalith Kumar with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film attempted a futuristic romantic narrative but found only a lukewarm reception from audiences and critics alike. Its recent debut on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages also failed to generate significant OTT buzz, mirroring its theatrical performance.
With Love Insurance Kompany now concluded in cinemas and streaming, industry watchers are keen to see how Pradeep Ranganathan and director Vignesh Shivan recalibrate for their next ventures.
