Ram Charan’s blockbuster sports drama Peddi has achieved a major milestone, surging past the ₹400 crore mark in worldwide collections. This feat cements the film’s status as South India’s biggest box office success of 2026 so far.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is riding high after the film’s phenomenal run, Peddi continues to draw strong crowds in the Coastal Andhra region even as it enters its third weekend. The movie stars Ram Charan in the lead, with Janhvi Kapoor playing a pivotal role, and is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
In a fresh move to energise its theatrical run, the makers have announced that a reloaded version will begin screening from tomorrow. The updated cut boasts 5 minutes and 56 seconds of new footage, including new sequences with Janhvi Kapoor and an impactful scene featuring Jagapathi Babu. The team officially confirmed this update, much to the excitement of fans eagerly anticipating the fresh content.
Despite Peddi’s dominance, the film now faces tough competition as six new releases, including Maa Inti Bangaaram and Cocktail 2, hit cinemas this weekend, potentially reducing its screen count. All eyes are now on how Ram Charan’s Peddi will perform in this crowded box office landscape and whether the reloaded version will help sustain its momentum.
