Ram Charan’s latest film Peddi has stormed back to the top of the Telugu box office, posting remarkable numbers in its second weekend. The Buchi Babu Sana-directed rural sports drama, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor, has managed to sustain its momentum with a significant surge in ticket sales, reflecting growing audience enthusiasm.

After an already impressive run, the film saw over 160,000 tickets sold on BookMyShow this Sunday—an increase over Saturday’s 155,000, as reported by sources. This robust performance comes even as Peddi underperformed somewhat in the Nizam region compared to Andhra, but the film is on track to recover its investment overall. Produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and featuring music by AR Rahman, the cast also boasts Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao’s Sing Geetham had a decent start in urban multiplexes, though it struggled in smaller towns, likely due to its genre appeal. Hollywood release Obsession continued its strong showing in city centres, while new Hindi films failed to draw crowds, with minimal footfalls reported.

With Peddi’s weekday performance now under the scanner, all eyes are on how well the film holds up as it enters the next phase of its theatrical run.
