Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports drama Peddi is making headlines as it nears release, with two major updates exciting fans. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and starring Janhvi Kapoor alongside Charan, is set to hit screens in just four days.
Following an impressive run with his recent projects, Ram Charan’s return has generated immense anticipation. The production team, led by Vriddhi Cinemas and Venkata Satish Kilaru, reportedly approached the Telangana Home Secretary to seek a ticket price hike for Peddi in Nizam, but after no favorable response, moved the matter to the High Court. Sources reveal that the court chose not to intervene based on existing judgments, prompting the team to withdraw their petition. As a result, the film is expected to open at existing ticket prices in Telangana, a move reminiscent of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh release strategy.
Meanwhile, the buzz overseas is palpable. North American pre-sales for Peddi’s premieres have already crossed $670K, with daily growth of around $50K, indicating strong interest among the diaspora. With a stellar cast featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, Boman Irani, and Upendra Limaye, and music by AR Rahman, expectations are soaring.
With official confirmation on Telangana ticket rates expected soon and international bookings climbing steadily, fans worldwide are counting down to Peddi’s grand debut.
