Suhas and Soori's Mandaadi Emerges as Box-office Winner Over Vinayaka Chavithi Weekend

Suhas and Soori's film Mandaadi surprised the Telugu box-office this Vinayaka Chavithi weekend, outperforming several local and dubbed releases. While Suhas has steadily built a reputation for strong performances in recent years, Mandaadi initially opened to a slow response. However, positive word of mouth quickly turned the tide, leading to robust collections on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

The Telugu states saw a busy lineup with Anand Deverakonda’s Epic, Sumanth’s Mahendragiri Varahi, and Madhav Bhupathiraju’s Maremma all releasing between Thursday and Friday. Despite the festive timing, these Telugu films struggled to attract audiences and failed to register significant box-office numbers. Among the dubbed releases, Karthi’s Sardar 2 was noted as one of the biggest setbacks of his career, with box-office performance falling well below expectations.

Mandaadi, starring Suhas and Soori, stood out as the only film to post strong numbers throughout the weekend. The film’s momentum was attributed to positive audience feedback, which helped it sustain and grow its presence in theatres. According to reports, Mandaadi was the clear winner among all releases during the holiday period.

Meanwhile, Ravi Teja’s Irumudi continued to perform steadily in the limited screens it occupied, maintaining decent numbers. The Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit also found moderate success, particularly in multiplexes and urban areas. Earlier coverage had highlighted the crowded release schedule for the weekend, but the actual results saw only Mandaadi making a mark at the box office.
