On its fifth day, Toxic sold 218,180 tickets on BookMyShow, but this figure was eclipsed by Ravi Teja’s Telugu film Irumudi, which moved 281,520 tickets on its tenth day. Even the lesser-known Hanuman Ansh, now in its twenty-fourth day, managed 248,330 tickets, while Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit registered 231,020 tickets on its tenth day. These numbers underscore the growing influence of regional cinema, with strong word of mouth and engaging content driving sustained audience interest.
Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, was expected to dominate the weekend, but the lack of a significant boost has raised concerns about its theatrical prospects.
