Security around Aamir Khan has been increased as the probe continues
Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has been in the spotlight recently, not just for his film projects but also due to personal developments. The actor's marriage to Gauri Spratt made headlines, but soon after, things took a serious turn as he reportedly received threatening messages online.
As per sources, Mumbai Police have traced the digital trail of these threats to IP addresses linked to Sweden and Canada. The buzz suggests that the senders used VPN services and encrypted internet tools, including the Tor browser, to mask their real identities. Investigators believe the threats, which arrived as both voice notes and social media posts, were issued in the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. However, officials have not confirmed any direct link between the actual gang and those behind the messages.
The cyber cell reportedly found that the messages were routed through a Sweden-based VPN, while another part of the trail pointed towards Canada. This complex web has made the probe more challenging, with authorities now collaborating with international agencies and online platforms to gather user details and technical information. Requests have already been sent to foreign authorities, and officials are awaiting responses that could help unmask those responsible.
Security around Aamir Khan has reportedly been tightened as a precaution, reflecting the seriousness with which the police are treating the case. For now, the industry grapevine has it that the investigation is ongoing, and everyone is watching closely to see how this cross-border cyber chase unfolds.
