Akshay Kumar’s daughter targeted in cyber harassment case, accused arrested

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s 13-year-old daughter recently faced a troubling incident of online harassment, with the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Branch swiftly arresting the alleged perpetrator. The episode unfolded on an online gaming platform, highlighting the growing risks children encounter in digital spaces.

Akshay, who has consistently advocated for safety and awareness in public life, brought this distressing experience to light during the 'Cyber Awareness Month 2025' event at the Mumbai Police Headquarters. Detailing the incident, Akshay revealed that the initial conversation with the stranger seemed innocuous before quickly turning inappropriate. His daughter, acting responsibly, ended the conversation and notified her mother immediately. As Akshay emphasized, "It is very important for children to share such things with their parents."

The incident and Akshay's candid disclosure have ignited widespread discussion among parents and educators. In response, Akshay appealed directly to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, urging that cyber awareness be integrated into school curriculums, stating, "Awareness is the only way to prevent children from falling into such traps in the digital world." Mumbai Police are now leveraging his message in college outreach programs to educate youth about cyber threats.

With the accused, a 22-year-old from Uttar Pradesh, now in custody and further investigations underway, this case underscores the urgent need for parental vigilance and open dialogue about online safety. More updates are expected as the investigation expands to identify if additional minors were targeted.
