Buchi Babu Sana Compares Vijay Deverakonda’s Stardom to Pawan Kalyan at Ranabaali Event

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Ranabaali took centre stage at its pre-release event, where director Buchi Babu Sana made a striking comparison that quickly caught the attention of Telugu cinema fans. Buchi Babu Sana, known for his directorial debut Uppena, praised Vijay Deverakonda’s popularity, equating it to the star power of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan.

During the event, Buchi Babu Sana recounted an anecdote shared by an assistant director who had worked on both Geetha Govindam and Uppena. He described an incident from the Geetha Govindam shoot at a private college in Hyderabad, where the management had to lock classroom doors because of the overwhelming reaction from female students to Vijay Deverakonda. This was around the time Arjun Reddy had released, further boosting Vijay’s popularity.

Buchi Babu Sana stated, “A star is always a star no matter what. Vijay Deverakonda is a star. He has Kalyan garu range star image.” The crowd responded with enthusiastic cheers, reflecting the strong support for both actors among Telugu audiences.

The director’s remarks have already sparked lively discussions on social media, with fans debating the comparison and expressing excitement for Ranabaali. While the film’s production house and full cast details were not highlighted at the event, the focus remained firmly on Vijay Deverakonda’s enduring appeal and the anticipation surrounding his latest project.
