Dhruv Vikram accused of breaching a film commitment by two production houses

Producers claim advance payment and pre-production investments for the shelved project

Complaint filed with Tamil Film Producers Council, which will hear both sides

Dhruv has not yet responded publicly to the latest allegations

Kollywood actor Dhruv Vikram has found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond his on-screen performances. The buzz suggests that Neeladri Productions and Pen Studios have jointly filed a complaint with the Tamil Film Producers Council, alleging that Dhruv breached his earlier film commitment. Reportedly, Dhruv had signed on for a film to be directed by Ramesh Varma, with the producers claiming they paid him an advance of ₹1 crore and invested heavily in pre-production activities, including music sessions and set construction.

As per sources, the controversy erupted when Dhruv announced a new project with Mythri Movie Makers and director Karan, which is being referred to as DV4. The producers allege that their own film was originally intended to be Dhruv's fourth outing, and that launching the Mythri project first could leave them facing financial losses and additional interest costs. The complaint states that Dhruv informed them he would complete the Mythri project before returning to their film, a move the producers see as a breach of trust.

Industry grapevine has it that the Tamil Film Producers Council has acknowledged the complaint and is expected to hear both parties before making any decision. This isn't the first time questions have been raised about Dhruv's project planning, with earlier projects involving AR Murugadoss and Mani Ratnam reportedly not materializing after being announced.

Dhruv Vikram has yet to make a public statement regarding the latest allegations. For now, the industry is watching closely to see how the producers' council will address this dispute and what it could mean for Dhruv's future collaborations.
