NBK’s Injury Puts NBK111 and Koratala Siva Project on Hold

Nandamuri Balakrishna has been riding high lately, with back-to-back projects keeping him at the center of Tollywood’s buzz. The actor, who has been working on the much-awaited NBK111, reportedly faced an unexpected hurdle after sustaining an injury during the film’s shoot. As per sources, Balakrishna had mapped out a tight schedule, aiming to wrap up NBK111 within the next two months and bring it to theatres by December.

However, the industry grapevine has it that these plans have now been disrupted. Balakrishna is expected to take a break from shooting for about one and a half months to recover. The operation, scheduled for today at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad, is said to be routine, and the actor is reportedly doing well. He was admitted yesterday and is expected to return home after the procedure.

This setback doesn’t just affect NBK111. Balakrishna had also signed on for a political action drama with director Koratala Siva, with filming originally planned to start around Dasara and a summer 2027 release in mind. Now, the buzz suggests that both projects will face delays, with NBK111 likely to miss its December release and Koratala Siva’s film also being pushed back.

Fans can take heart, though—sources indicate that Balakrishna’s recovery is progressing smoothly. All eyes are now on his comeback, as the industry waits to see how these changes will reshape Tollywood’s release calendar in the coming months.
