Nora Fatehi Faces Rs 3 Crore Defamation Suit Over Aircraft Remarks

Nora Fatehi, known for her dynamic performances in Bollywood and Telugu cinema, is now at the center of a legal dispute after Dunes Aviation filed a Rs 3 crore civil defamation suit against her. The case, lodged at a Gandhinagar court, stems from comments Nora made on social media regarding one of the company’s chartered flights.

The controversy dates back to December last year, when Nora Fatehi traveled from Mumbai to Jaipur aboard a Cessna Citation CJ2 operated by Dunes Aviation. During the journey, she posted videos and reportedly described the aircraft as a “Lego airplane” and a “toy,” questioning its size and suitability for the trip. Dunes Aviation has strongly objected to these remarks, claiming they were derogatory and reckless, and have harmed the company’s reputation and business interests.

According to Dunes Aviation, the aircraft in question was fully certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and operated under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator’s Permit (NSOP). The company insists that the Cessna Citation CJ2 was entirely suitable for the journey, and that Nora’s comments have negatively impacted their goodwill and commercial operations. As a result, they are seeking Rs 3 crore in damages, removal of the disputed social media content, and a public clarification from Nora Fatehi.

The case is scheduled to be heard by senior civil judge R Agarwal on September 25th. For now, the matter remains an ongoing civil dispute, with the court yet to decide on the validity of Dunes Aviation’s claims or Nora Fatehi’s response.
