Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister and revered actor, has been discharged from Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital following a complex right shoulder surgery. His health update has drawn widespread attention, especially given his dual responsibilities in politics and cinema.
The three-and-a-half-hour arthroscopic procedure addressed long-standing rotator cuff injuries and an avulsion fracture that had intensified due to years of public engagements and political activity. Despite earlier medical advice, Pawan Kalyan postponed the operation to fulfill his recent duties as Deputy CM, a decision that highlights both his public commitment and the challenges of balancing such a demanding schedule.
Medical teams have instructed him to take complete rest for three weeks, after which he will begin physiotherapy. Full recovery is anticipated over the next four months, with plans to assess his left shoulder's condition at a later stage. During his hospital stay, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited to check on his well-being, and a wave of support poured in from political circles, film industry colleagues, and enthusiastic fans across social media. Pawan's wife, Anna Konidela, shared, "My immediate priority is to take care of him during his recovery."
For now, Pawan Kalyan will remain away from public events and official duties, focusing on regaining his health. An update on his return to public life is expected once doctors permit him to resume his responsibilities.
