Salman Khan Faces Legal Heat: Fraud Case Summons Stir Bollywood Circles

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond the big screen, as per sources. While he continues to be a dominant force in Hindi cinema, the buzz suggests that legal troubles have recently cast a shadow over his otherwise glittering career.

Reportedly, a Chandigarh district court issued summons to Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and directors of Style and Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd. This move comes after a complaint was filed by businessman Arun Gupta, who alleged that he was persuaded to invest nearly ₹3 crore in a Being Human jewellery showroom, expecting strong business prospects. Gupta claims that the promised support never materialised, and the outlet supplying Being Human jewellery shut down in February 2020, leading to significant losses.

Industry grapevine has it that the company involved has denied the allegations, maintaining that Salman Khan had no direct role in the business agreement. According to the company, the Being Human jewellery line is run independently by Style and Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd under a licensing deal, with the Salman Khan Foundation only providing the brand name.

The court has not made any findings on the allegations so far. The summons, which required the accused to appear before the court on October 5, 2023, are part of the ongoing legal process. As the matter proceeds, Bollywood circles are keenly watching how this legal chapter unfolds for Salman Khan and his family.
