Salman Khan to Relocate from Galaxy Apartments After Five Decades
Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is preparing for a significant change, as he plans to shift from his legendary Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra after more than 52 years. The actor, who has called this celebrated address home since 1974, has been granted approval to construct a sprawling six-storey sea-facing house in the nearby Chimbai area.
This move arrives after a notable security incident outside Galaxy Apartments over two years ago, which led to heightened protection measures for Salman and his family. The new property, registered in his mother Salma Khan's name, is designed to offer modern comforts and increased privacy, with features such as stilt parking and multiple upper floors. The development recently received a green light from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority, clearing the way for construction to begin.
While fans have long associated Salman with the iconic Galaxy Apartments—especially during his Eid appearances—the prospect of a more secluded and secure home has sparked considerable social media discussion. Despite owning other luxury properties, Salman has remained loyal to Galaxy for decades, making this transition especially poignant.
On the professional front, Salman is currently filming under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally for a project set to release next year and is also in talks for films with Raj & DK and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The timeline for the Khan family’s move remains unconfirmed, but fans can expect further updates as construction progresses.
