Shah Rukh Khan is riding high on anticipation for his next big project, King, which also marks his daughter Suhana's silver screen debut. As per sources, the Bollywood superstar has reportedly turned down a cameo in Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Jailer 2. The makers were hoping for SRK to play a dynamic cop, but he’s said to be keeping his on-screen presence exclusive until King hits the marquee. Insiders say Shah Rukh personally conveyed his admiration to Rajinikanth and hinted he’s open to collaborating in the future, just not right now.
The rumour mill had been swirling for months about SRK joining the Jailer 2 cast, with the buzz suggesting he had even blocked five days for the shoot. However, industry grapevine has it that the conflicting schedules and the need to protect King’s unique look played a role in his decision to step back. This has left the Jailer 2 team in a fresh scramble earlier, even Nandamuri Balakrishna reportedly passed on the cameo. Speculation now points to Vijay Sethupathi as a possible replacement, but nothing is set in stone yet.
With Jailer 2’s August 2026 release looming, and stars like Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vidya Balan already on board, all eyes are on who will finally don the cop’s uniform. Will it be another pan-India surprise? Only time will tell.
