Ashu Reddy Faces High Court Scrutiny in High-Profile Cheating Case
Television actress Ashu Reddy, well-known for her recent stint on reality TV, is under intense legal spotlight as the Telangana High Court called for a comprehensive report from the state government regarding a cheating case filed against her. The controversy has drawn significant attention, given Ashu Reddy’s celebrity status and active presence in the Telugu entertainment circuit.
The case was initiated by a Hyderabad resident, who alleged that Ashu Reddy promised marriage to his son, a software engineer based in London, and subsequently induced him to spend over ₹9.35 crore on luxury goods, gold, and properties—many of which are reportedly registered in her name. The complaint also implicates Reddy’s sister, accused of accepting ₹50 lakh and failing to return it. Ashu Reddy has strongly denied all allegations, stating in her petition that the FIR "was filed only to damage her image" and insisting that the complainant’s son "spent the money on his own" without any deception on her part.
The legal proceedings have sparked a wave of buzz on social media, especially after an audio clip surfaced allegedly featuring Ashu Reddy discussing financial matters. However, there is no official verification of the clip’s authenticity. Since the case emerged, the actress has been notably absent from public events, fueling further speculation among fans and industry watchers.
With the High Court granting additional time for the government to submit its detailed report, all eyes are now on the next hearing scheduled for May 4. The outcome is keenly awaited by both Ashu Reddy’s followers and the Telugu television industry.
