Venkatesh, currently filming 'Adarsha Kutumbam', and Vijay Deverakonda, who is gearing up for 'Ranabaali', have found themselves entangled in legal controversy after the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) issued them notices over their association with the TG20 League. Both actors, acclaimed for their dynamic presence in Tollywood, are alleged by the TCA to have participated in promotional activities for a cricket tournament that, according to the notice, lacks the required approvals from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The TCA claims the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) conducted and promoted the TG20 League with the help of corporate sponsors, without securing the mandatory 45-day prior permission from the BCCI. This, as per the legal notice, not only raises compliance issues but also misleads corporate partners and the cricket-loving public, making involvement in promotional campaigns legally questionable. Prominent cricketers such as Tilak Varma, Ambati Rayudu, and Mohammed Siraj have also been served notices regarding the same issue.
As of now, neither Venkatesh nor Vijay Deverakonda has issued a public response to the allegations. While the controversy has stirred discussions among fans and observers on social media, both actors remain focused on their busy shooting schedules. Venkatesh is also set to join the sets of Anil Ravipudi’s next directorial venture, while Vijay Deverakonda continues work on Rahul Sankrityan’s historical epic 'Ranabaali', scheduled for a grand release on September 11th, 2026, alongside his rural mass entertainer, 'Rowdy Janardhana'.
With legal proceedings underway, followers of these stars and the cricketing community alike await further developments and official statements from all parties involved.
