YouTuber Rama Nandana Arrested at Shamshabad Airport in Cheating Case

Popular Telugu YouTuber Rama Nandana, known for her channel Nandu’s World, was detained by RGIA police at Shamshabad airport following a Lookout Circular issued in connection with a cheating case registered in Andhra Pradesh. Nandana, who has built a significant following through her family and lifestyle videos, was reportedly taken into custody as she arrived in India and is expected to be handed over to the Ibrahimpatnam police for further investigation.

The case against Rama Nandana and her husband Jagarlamudi Madhukar centers on allegations of collecting money from individuals with promises of UK jobs, visa assistance, and Certificates of Sponsorship. The complaint, filed by Mamillapalli Sivakranthi Kumar—himself a UK resident—states that he paid ₹15 lakh in multiple instalments to bank accounts associated with Destiny Consultancy. According to his statement, the payments were made for UK visa renewal, employment help, and a Certificate of Sponsorship for his wife. However, Kumar alleges that the promised services were never delivered and the certificate provided was found to be fake. After he demanded a refund, only ₹2 lakh was reportedly returned.

Based on the complaint, police named Madhukar as A1, Rama Nandana as A2, and Madhukar’s father Mohan Rao as A3 in the case. Authorities subsequently issued lookout notices for all three. In response to the allegations, Rama Nandana publicly denied any involvement, stating, “Neither I nor my husband own or operate the consultancy,” and claimed their names were being misused. She further described the accusations as stemming from personal disputes and said the couple had approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court to seek quashing of the FIR.

The investigation is ongoing, with Nandana’s arrest drawing significant attention due to her online popularity and the nature of the allegations.
