Amir Kahn's Son 'EK Din' Opens to Disappointing Box Office

Sai Pallavi’s much-anticipated Bollywood debut in 'EK Din', produced by Aamir Khan, has surprised industry watchers with its unexpectedly weak box office opening. The romantic drama, which also stars Aamir’s son Junaid Khan, was released on May Day a public holiday primed for big numbers but failed to draw crowds to theatres.

Sai Pallavi, celebrated for her thoughtful choice of roles and strong performances in South Indian cinema, had held out on several Hindi film offers before agreeing to this project. 'EK Din' carries the weight of Aamir Khan’s production legacy and the curiosity surrounding Junaid Khan’s lead role debut. Directed by Sunil Pandey, 'EK Din' is a remake of the 2016 Thai film 'One Day'.
