Adivi Sesh’s much-anticipated romantic action thriller, Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha, has successfully passed the censor board with a U/A certificate, paving the way for its grand pan-India release on April 10, 2026. Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, this film marks a notable shift for Sesh, showcasing him in a rugged and intense avatar that promises to captivate audiences.
Following the success of his recent hits like Major and HIT 2, Adivi Sesh continues to build momentum with Dacoit, which pairs him opposite Mrunal Thakur. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under the prestigious Annapurna Studios banner, the film blends raw action with a heartfelt love story. Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap adds further intrigue by playing the antagonist, elevating the film’s pan-India appeal.
The movie’s runtime is locked at approximately 2 hours and 22 minutes, striking a balance between gripping storytelling and emotional depth. The pre-release business has already crossed ₹30 crore globally, including strong sales from the Telugu states and overseas. Fans have responded enthusiastically to the promotional content, especially the soulful track "Rubaroo" and the high-energy teaser that nods to Nagarjuna’s Hello Brother.
With the theatrical trailer scheduled for release on April 4, anticipation is mounting. After its theatrical run, Dacoit will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, offering wider access to audiences. All signs point to a thrilling addition to Adivi Sesh’s streak of successful films, making Dacoit one to watch this season.
