Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar Set for Golmaal 5 Release on January 8, 2027

Ajay Devgn returns to the big screen with Golmaal 5, the latest chapter in Bollywood's most successful comedy franchise. Known for delivering blockbuster hits, Devgn once again teams up with director Rohit Shetty, who has steered every Golmaal film so far. Adding a new twist to the ensemble, Akshay Kumar joins the cast as the main antagonist, marking his first appearance in the series.

The makers have officially announced that Golmaal 5 will release in cinemas on January 8, 2027. This date positions the film as the first major Bollywood release of the year, setting the stage for a festive box office season. The update was shared by Rohit Shetty through a motion poster, ending earlier speculation that the film might arrive in December 2026.

Alongside Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, the film features a star-studded lineup including Priyamani, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Sharman Joshi, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, and Ashwini Kalsekar. The Golmaal series has consistently drawn large audiences, with previous installments becoming major commercial successes.

Earlier this year, production on Golmaal 5 began with principal photography in Ooty, as reported during the shoot's progress. The announcement of Akshay Kumar's involvement as the villain has generated considerable excitement among fans and on social media, with many eager to see how his dynamic will play out against Devgn's iconic character.

With the release date now locked, anticipation is building for what promises to be another entertaining addition to the Golmaal legacy.
