Ajith Kumar and Shankar in Talks for Potential Collaboration

Ajith Kumar, one of Kollywood's leading stars, is reportedly in discussions with acclaimed director Shankar for a possible new project. According to recent reports from Tamil media, talks are underway to bring the actor-director duo together, though neither Ajith nor Shankar has confirmed the development so far.

Ajith's career remains active with several projects in the pipeline. His next confirmed film is 'Dare Devil', directed by Adhik Ravichandran, marking their reunion after 'Good Bad Ugly'. Notably, 'Dare Devil' will also see Shalini Ajithkumar stepping into the role of producer for the first time. Alongside this, Ajith has been linked with other prominent filmmakers. Director Siva has stated he is planning another collaboration with Ajith, and Karthik Subbaraj has revealed that he previously discussed a story with the star.

On the other hand, director Shankar is currently occupied with his ongoing commitments. His son, Arjith Shankar, has recently started work on his debut film 'Lover Boy', which is now in production. Shankar's own ambitious project, an adaptation of the novel 'Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari', is reportedly on hold as he searches for a producer following recent setbacks. This situation leaves room for new ventures, making the possibility of an Ajith-Shankar film all the more intriguing if talks progress.
