Ajith Kumar, the celebrated Tamil star, has recently agreed to headline two upcoming films—one with director Aadhik Ravichandran and another with Siruthai Siva—but both projects find themselves at a standstill as producers hesitate over financial terms. Ajith’s recent track record includes high-profile releases and a reputation for commanding significant box office pull, making his next move a topic of keen industry interest.
The film with Aadhik Ravichandran has its script ready, yet the initial production house, Mythri Movie Makers, exited after discussions reportedly faltered due to Ajith’s hefty remuneration demand. Hombale Films stepped in for talks with Ajith’s team, but similar concerns over the quoted fee led to a stall in negotiations. It is reported that Ajith is seeking around ₹150 crores, a figure that has made even new entrants to film production, such as a Chennai-based real estate magnate, reconsider their involvement.
Ajith has also approved a collaboration with director Siruthai Siva, known for their prior successes together, but the financial aspect remains a sticking point. Industry insiders suggest that if Ajith were to moderate his remuneration to near ₹100 crores, established producers would be more willing to come on board.
With two promising scripts awaiting greenlight and fans eager for updates, all eyes are now on whether Ajith and his prospective production partners can reach a consensus to put these high-profile projects into motion.
