Akhil Akkineni, fresh from his mixed response to Agent, has been quietly working on his upcoming film Lenin, which has piqued interest with its rugged visuals and rural backdrop. The buzz suggests fans grew anxious as the team kept silent after releasing the first single two months ago, especially with Lenin initially pegged for a May 1 release. Industry watchers noted the absence of updates amid heightened anticipation.
However, the silence has finally broken. The film's makers officially announced Lenin will now hit screens globally on June 26, stepping aside from the release race with Ram Charan’s Peddi scheduled for April 30. Set against Rayalaseema’s intense landscape, Lenin promises a gripping action drama woven with a love story.
Directed by Murali Krishna Abburu and produced by Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments, Lenin features Bhagyashri Borse alongside Akhil, with music by Thaman. This shift in plans underscores the strategic maneuvering expected in Tollywood's crowded release calendar. Fans are now eagerly anticipating how Lenin will perform on its new date.
