Akhil Akkineni’s much-awaited film Lenin is all set to hit the big screens on July 10, 2026, setting the stage for a box office showdown with Jaya Krishna’s debut starrer Srinivasa Mangapuram, releasing just a day earlier on July 9. This rare back-to-back release has generated substantial buzz among fans and industry watchers alike.
Akhil, seen as making a comeback with Lenin, teams up with director Murali Kishor Abburu and leading lady Bhagyashri Borse in a Rayalaseema-based love story packed with action. Produced by the renowned Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, and with music by Thaman, the film has garnered positive early reactions for its promotional material. The makers are reportedly planning to unveil the trailer on June 30, 2026, further fueling anticipation.
On the other hand, Jaya Krishna, nephew of Superstar Mahesh Babu, steps into the limelight with Srinivasa Mangapuram, a rustic romantic entertainer helmed by Ajay Bhupathi. The project is backed by Vyjayanthi Movies and Gemini Kiran, with Rasha Tadani as the female lead and Mohan Babu in a key role. Superstar Mahesh Babu is expected to boost the film’s visibility by attending the pre-release event.
With both films carrying strong expectations and support from legendary production houses, Tollywood fans are eager to see which project will dominate the July second weekend. All eyes are now on the trailer launches and upcoming promotions as release day approaches.
