Akhil Akkineni’s much-anticipated film Lenin is making headlines as it enters fresh reshoots and faces uncertainty around its release, thanks to a looming box office clash with Ram Charan’s Peddi. The film, directed by the filmmaker behind Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, had already shifted its original May release to June 26, but Peddi’s June 25th date now threatens Lenin’s solo window.

Lenin, produced on a grand scale by Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments and Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios, is set against a Rayalaseema backdrop and brings a gripping narrative inspired by real-life honor killing incidents. Akhil takes on the challenging role of a blind protagonist, while Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead. The film’s romantic sequences and emotionally charged storyline have generated buzz among fans and on social media, especially with reports that Nagarjuna himself advised key reshoots for the project.

The production team has recently erected lavish sets at Annapurna Studios to shoot an additional song, which, according to sources, will feature another heroine. Despite steady progress and ongoing promotions, the sudden clash with Peddi has left the industry speculating whether Lenin will stick to its June 26 release or opt for a safer date in July. Producer Naga Vamsi has yet to clarify the final plan.

With the film still in its final stages and the makers weighing their options, fans eagerly await an official announcement from Sithara Entertainments about Lenin’s release strategy.
