Akshay Kumar, who is known for his playful spirit on set, recently pulled an unexpected prank on co-star Wamiqa Gabbi during the making of the upcoming horror-comedy thriller Bhoot Bangla. Directed by Priyadarshan and set to hit cinemas on April 16, 2026, the film has been building anticipation with its unique blend of scares and humour.
Akshay, coming off a string of commercially successful projects, leads an ensemble cast featuring Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar. The recent behind-the-scenes video released by the makers captured a candid moment: Wamiqa, secured in a harness for a dance sequence, was unexpectedly pushed away by Akshay just as she began her move. Though startled at first, Wamiqa quickly joined in the laughter, lightening the mood on set.
Adding to the film’s quirky promotions, Akshay turned heads at the trailer launch by wearing intentionally ragged clothes. Explaining his look to the media, he quipped that it was “done by the ghosts,” perfectly matching the film’s horror-comedy vibe. The film’s teaser and trailer have drawn a positive buzz on social media, with fans appreciating the cast’s camaraderie and the intriguing concept.
With its vibrant promotions and star-studded lineup, Bhoot Bangla is set for a grand theatrical release this April, and audiences are eager to see what spooky surprises await on the big screen.
