The teaser for Haiwaan was unveiled today, giving fans their first glimpse of Akshay in a never-before-seen avatar. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Akshay described his character as "out and out evil," stating, "As the title goes, I am playing Haiwaan, and my character has no grey shades, he’s out and out evil. I always wanted to play a psycho on-screen."
Akshay further shared that after experimenting with comedy, horror, action, and drama in his last few films, Haiwaan marks his first foray into playing a truly evil character. "With my last four or five films, I have tried to switch between completely different genres: comedy, horror, action, drama. This is my first time playing evil in the truest sense. I like to constantly challenge myself, and Haiwaan is that challenge for me," he said.
