Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated film Raaka, directed by Atlee, has hit a major roadblock as production delays threaten its schedule.
The film, billed as a prestigious venture for both Allu Arjun and director Atlee, was already generating significant excitement thanks to its star-studded cast and massive budget. With Deepika Padukone cast as the female lead and an ensemble including Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Mrunal Thakur, Raaka promised grandeur and scale. However, Deepika Padukone’s recently announced pregnancy has complicated the shooting process. According to reports, director Atlee opted to use a body double for Deepika in the high-octane action sequences, but progress remains slow.
Despite Allu Arjun having completed most of his portions, sources say there is still a considerable amount of filming left. Latest buzz suggests that Allu Arjun has set aside an additional year exclusively for Raaka, pushing the project’s completion much further than initially planned. This move could also impact his next collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, leaving fans disappointed as timelines stretch further.
With Sai Abhyankar handling the music and heavy reliance on CGI and VFX, Raaka’s journey is proving more turbulent than expected. Audiences will have to wait longer for updates, while the industry watches to see how the team navigates these setbacks.
