Allu Arjun and Atlee’s Raaka: Director Responds to Release Date Buzz

Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Raaka, directed by Atlee, continues to be a major talking point among Telugu cinema fans. The film, which marks the first collaboration between the Pushpa star and the acclaimed director, is currently being shot in Mumbai. Atlee, known for his successful run in South Indian cinema, was recently asked about Raaka’s release date during a public appearance. Responding with humour, Atlee remarked that even the producer had not asked him about the release date yet, and added that the film would arrive soon, though he did not commit to a specific timeline.

Raaka is being produced on a grand scale by Sun Pictures and features an ensemble cast. Deepika Padukone is confirmed to be part of the project, while Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have also been linked to key roles. Music for the film is being composed by Sai Abhyankkar. In contrast to earlier reports, Aishwarya Lekshmi has clarified that she is not involved with Raaka.

The film has generated significant anticipation, with social media abuzz about its potential release window. While some reports have suggested a late 2027 release, there is no official confirmation from the makers. In June, it was reported that the production was under tight security, with no details about the genre or storyline being leaked. As of now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement regarding the release date, as the team continues work on what is shaping up to be one of Telugu cinema’s most awaited projects.
