Anil Sunkara to Produce Sharwanand–Srinu Vaitla Time-Travel Film for Sankranthi 2027

Sharwanand is set to embark on a new cinematic journey with a time-travel film helmed by veteran director Srinu Vaitla, and the project has now found a strong backer in producer Anil Sunkara. After beginning the year with the well-received 'Nari Nari Naduma Murari' and following it up with 'Biker', which garnered praise despite modest box office returns, Sharwanand looks eager to take on this high-concept venture.

Srinu Vaitla, known for his knack for commercial entertainers, has teamed up with young writer Nandu to craft a unique script that reportedly excites Sharwanand. Although Mythri Movie Makers initially showed interest, they exited the project, leading to discussions with other producers before Anil Sunkara stepped in. As per sources, Sunkara and Vaitla are currently ironing out financial details in the USA, and a formal announcement is anticipated by month-end.

Notably, both Sharwanand and Srinu Vaitla are said to be working under a profit-sharing model for this film. While the production gears up, Sharwanand is also wrapping up 'Bhogi', scheduled for an August release. The new time-travel film is targeting a grand Sankranthi 2027 release, promising fans a festive treat.

With the final budget approvals expected soon, filming is likely to commence in July. Fans can look forward to more updates as the team readies for an official launch and further casting announcements.
