The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, with Samuthirakhani in a key role and a score by Thaman. However, the makers faced a surprising twist as Tamannaah turned down the lead role opposite Balakrishna, citing her uncertainty about fitting the part, a decision that has sparked plenty of discussion among fans online.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s partnership with young director Vivek Athreya is shaping up to be a landmark project. Titled Kurukshetram, the film is planned as a duology to do justice to Athreya’s expansive narrative.
