Chiranjeevi Hails Ram Charan’s Peddi Success; Charan Credits Audience Amid Mixed Reviews
Ram Charan’s latest release, Peddi, continues to make waves after its remarkable run at the box office, having grossed over ₹400 crore. The film’s grand success event at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad, saw Megastar Chiranjeevi take centre stage, lauding Charan’s performance and expressing heartfelt sentiments about the film’s impact.
Chiranjeevi, attending as the chief guest, remarked that Charan delivered far beyond expectations, noting, “Charan could have simply done what the director asked of him, but he went the extra mile. Everyone is hailing Peddi as Charan’s one-man show. People are saying he should win the National Award. Winning the award or not isn’t the question, and there are multiple ways to secure it. What matters most is the audience’s love. It is bigger than any award,” he said. The film, a sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, also features Janhvi Kapoor in a pivotal role. Music for the film is composed by AR Rahman.
Ram Charan, addressing the enthusiastic crowd, acknowledged the mixed critical reception but credited the audience’s unwavering support for the film’s triumph. “There were mixed reviews, and some tried to bring the film down, but the people who watched it carried it on their shoulders, appreciating all our efforts. I salute the audience who saw the good in Peddi,” Charan stated, further thanking both major and independent reviewers for their perspectives.
With the film’s widespread acceptance and fanfare, all eyes are now on Ram Charan’s upcoming projects, as expectations soar following Peddi’s phenomenal success.
