Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka Locks Sankranthi 2027 Release, Makers Deny Delay

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Kaaka has officially locked its release date for January 13, 2027, quashing recent speculation about a possible postponement. The production team has clarified that Kaaka remains firmly in the Sankranthi 2027 festival lineup, despite rumours that it might step aside for Chiranjeevi’s other project, Vishwambhara.

Kaaka is directed by Bobby Kolli, marking his second collaboration with Chiranjeevi after their successful outing with Waltair Veerayya. The film is being produced by KVN Productions, with music composed by Thaman. The cast features Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, and Getup Srinu in significant roles, promising a strong ensemble for this festive release.

Talk of a delay had gained traction as Vishwambhara, another Chiranjeevi starrer, continues to face uncertainty regarding its release date. Previous reports have linked Vishwambhara’s delays to extended VFX work and feedback on its teaser, but no official date has been announced yet. According to recent updates, Chiranjeevi is expected to make the final decision on Vishwambhara’s release timing soon.

Adding to the excitement for Kaaka, the makers have announced that the first single from the film will be released shortly, building anticipation among fans. The confirmation of the Sankranthi release has been welcomed by Chiranjeevi’s followers, who are eager to see him reunite with Bobby Kolli on the big screen. For now, all eyes are on Kaaka’s upcoming music launch, while clarity on Vishwambhara’s schedule is still awaited.
