Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu Achieves Rare 100-Day Theatrical Milestone
Megastar Chiranjeevi's "Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu" has pulled off a remarkable feat, celebrating 100 days in theatres a rarity in today’s Tollywood. This festival season release marks a dazzling comeback for Chiranjeevi after the underwhelming response to 'Bhola Shankar', re-establishing his box office dominance in grand style.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Nayanthara alongside Chiranjeevi, the film was crafted as a vibrant family entertainer and produced by Sushmita Konidela and Sahu Garapati. The movie’s blend of emotion, comedy, and mass appeal, coupled with Bheems’ energetic music and a crowd-pleasing cameo by Venky Mama, resonated powerfully with festival audiences. Released during Sankranthi, it quickly became a box office juggernaut, reportedly amassing nearly ₹350 crore gross worldwide and even outpacing major titles like Devara and Salaar in Andhra Pradesh.
The film’s theatrical stamina has been especially impressive: "Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu" completed 50 days in 109 centres and now celebrates a 100-day run in two Rayalaseema theatres Venkateswara Theatre in Mydukuru and Hema Picture Palace in Yerraguntla. Fans and trade circles have lauded this achievement, with reports suggesting the run may continue further in at least one venue. The movie’s sustained popularity has been attributed to its high repeat value and the perfect festival timing, as noted by industry sources.
With this success, Chiranjeevi has decisively silenced any doubts regarding his star power. Up next, he is set to reunite with director Bobby for another big project, and fans are eagerly waiting for the visual spectacle "Vishwambhara", which is poised for a June-July release.
