Originally, Om: Chapter 1 was slated for a theatrical release on October 16th, just a day after Jailer 2, which Sun Pictures has officially scheduled for October 15th. Both films were set to compete during the lucrative Dasara holiday period, a time known for drawing large crowds to cinemas. However, the Om team is now reportedly in talks with Netflix, which is backing the film, to push the release to November 20th. According to the latest updates, this move is aimed at giving both films breathing room at the box office, but the postponement is not yet confirmed and hinges on Netflix’s approval.

Director Rajkumar Periasamy, known for his work on Rangoon and Amaran, has just completed the final patchwork and is busy with the editing process. The combination of Dhanush and Mammootty has already sparked considerable interest among fans, with social media discussions highlighting the unique pairing and the film’s pan-Indian ambitions.
