Dhanush’s much-awaited film, OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood, has entered its final leg of shooting, with the team currently filming in Malaysia. The movie, helmed by director Rajkumar Periasamy, is building anticipation after his previous blockbuster, Amaran, set high expectations for his next venture.
The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring stalwarts like Mammootty, Naseeruddin Shah, Sreeleela, and Sai Pallavi, adding significant star power and drawing keen interest from fans. Produced by Wunderbar Films in collaboration with RTake Studios, OM: Chapter 1 is further enhanced by the music of Sai Abhyankkar, who is rapidly gaining recognition as a promising composer in the industry.
As per reports, the current shooting schedule in Malaysia is expected to wrap up in about two weeks, after which the focus will shift to post-production. Originally slated for an October 16, 2026 release, the team is now likely to postpone the film to avoid a direct box office clash with Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, with an official announcement on the new release date anticipated soon.
With fans buzzing about the film’s impressive lineup and production updates, all eyes are now on the makers as they gear up for post-production and a fresh release date announcement.
