Jagapathi Babu Stands by Ram Charan’s Peddi Amid Trolling
Jagapathi Babu has come forward in strong support of Ram Charan’s film Peddi, addressing the wave of online negativity that has surrounded the project. The actor, who has maintained a steady presence in Telugu cinema, did not hold back his views in a recent interview, expressing concern over the deliberate attempts to undermine the film’s reputation.
Reflecting on the criticism Peddi has faced, Jagapathi Babu pointed out that while everyone is free to have their own opinions, there is a clear difference between genuine feedback and intentional malice. He highlighted the immense effort invested by the cast, crew, and producers behind Peddi, saying, “Some idiots get a sadistic pleasure in degrading a film. They do everything to stop a film from performing well. Yes, Ram Charan is a wealthy person. But think about everyone who worked hard on the Peddi. Think about the producer who spent money,” the actor remarked.
He went on to defend the film’s quality and the team’s dedication, stating, “We made a film that is deep-rooted. Fans and those associated with the film pinned their hopes on it. It’s wrong when someone tries to affect a film’s run. Some idiots tried their best to pull Peddi down. It is not a bad film. Some earn thousands by trolling a film made with crores. I call it nothing but perversion.”
With Jagapathi Babu’s candid remarks drawing attention, all eyes are now on how Peddi will continue its journey at the box office and how audiences respond in the coming weeks.
