Janhvi Kapoor, starring as the leading lady in Ram Charan’s much-awaited Telugu film Peddi, is making headlines for reportedly opting out of the movie’s nationwide promotional campaign. Despite her well-known lineage as the daughter of legendary actress Sridevi, Janhvi is yet to deliver a significant box office success, and Peddi was seen as a crucial project in her career.

The rustic sports drama is helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing the film, aiming for a pan-Indian impact. Janhvi’s character is said to be that of a village girl, but according to a leading daily, her minimal role in the film and a hefty remuneration are the primary reasons she has chosen not to participate in the promotions. As per sources, "the actress signed the project because of her bigger remuneration and she has no prominent role in the film because of which Jahnvi Kapoor opted out to stay away from promoting Peddi."

This decision comes at a time when Peddi is gearing up for a major release on June 4th, and industry watchers believe her absence from the promotional circuit could prove costly. Social media chatter and fan discussions reflect disappointment, as many expected Janhvi to leverage this opportunity to boost her profile, especially with limited offers currently in hand.

With the makers yet to clarify her involvement in upcoming promotions, all eyes are on the Peddi team as they approach the release date fans and industry insiders alike will be watching to see if Janhvi’s gamble pays off or backfires.
