Satya returns to the big screen with 'Jetlee', an action-comedy directed by Ritesh Rana, whose signature quirky storytelling has built anticipation around the film. The freshly released trailer has amplified excitement, showcasing Satya in a role that balances seriousness and sly humor, while Rhea Singha and Ajay add depth to the ensemble. Vennela Kishore injects comedic flair, promising a film filled with both tension and laughter.
Ritesh Rana, acclaimed for his eccentric narratives, appears to double down on his dark-comic style in 'Jetlee'. The story follows Prajapathi, a scam artist who escapes to Dubai after deceiving numerous families, prompting a high-stakes chase led by a government operative. With production helmed by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Peddamallu under Clap Entertainment, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has been drawing strong attention online.
However, Jetlee’s release faces significant challenges in Telangana due to an industry-wide standoff. Major chains like the Asian group and SVC-controlled theatres, including AMB Cinemas and AAA Cinemas, are not screening the film as part of an ongoing dispute over a proposed percentage-based revenue model. As a result, bookings have stalled across several key Hyderabad screens.
The situation has cast uncertainty over Jetlee’s box office prospects, even as fans and cinephiles await its arrival. With both producers and theatre owners holding firm stances, all eyes are on how this industry impasse will resolve and whether Jetlee will secure a smooth release in the coming days.
