Kamakshi Bhaskarla, known for her role in 'Polimera', headlines the supernatural thriller 'Agadha', which was written and directed by M. S. Raju. The film, also starring Shravan Reddy of 'Dirty Hari' fame, was released worldwide on August 14, 2023, following a surge of interest generated by its trailer.

Director M. S. Raju, whose recent projects have kept him in the Tollywood spotlight, opted for a self-release strategy in India, collaborating with Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios. This move, according to reports, reflected the team's strong belief in the film's content and box office potential.

In the United States, Moksha Movies initially planned to release 'Agadha' on 14 screens. However, after previewing the film, the distributor expanded the release to 140 screens, signaling significant confidence in its appeal to overseas audiences. The expansion was described as a major boost for the film's international prospects.

For the Telugu states, Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios managed the release, while V.K. Films (associated with Hombale Films) handled Karnataka, and 'S' Pictures took charge in Tamil Nadu. The film was produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under Sri Adi Varaha Productions, with Ajay KR presenting.

The trailer, featuring a reverse-chronological narrative, large-scale CGI, and a haunting score, created considerable buzz on social media and among trade circles. With its ambitious visuals and mystical themes, 'Agadha' positioned itself as a unique entry in the supernatural genre.
