  • April 30, 2027, is the new date under consideration for Dharman’s release.

Kamal Haasan, who is producing Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Dharman, has decided to move the film’s release to summer 2027. The project, currently in production, was initially planned for a Sankranthi 2027 release. However, the schedule has shifted as Kamal Haasan’s own film, Indian 3, directed by Shankar, is now back on track and targeting a Sankranthi release window.

With Indian 3’s post-production underway and the team aiming for a festive launch, Kamal Haasan has begun discussions with Rajinikanth to finalize a new date for Dharman. According to the latest updates, April 30, 2027, is being considered as the new release date for Dharman. The move is intended to avoid a clash with Indian 3 if both films were to release around the same time.

Dharman is helmed by director Ashwath Marimuthu and features a star-studded cast including Simran, Raashii Khanna, Ram Pothineni, and Yogi Babu in key roles. The production has generated significant interest, especially with two major stars like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth collaborating, albeit in different capacities.

Sources indicate that if Indian 3 does not make it to Sankranthi as planned, Dharman may revert to its original release schedule. Talks between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are ongoing, and an official announcement is expected once the plans are finalized.
