Kamal Haasan Lauds Singeetham & Nag Ashwin’s Vision for Sing Geetham

Kamal Haasan and the much-admired director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao reunited for the grand celebration of their latest musical adventure, Sing Geetham, a film produced by Nag Ashwin and Vyjayanthi Movies that has set social media abuzz ahead of its June 11 release.

Known for their iconic collaborations in Indian cinema, Kamal and Singeetham share a legacy of classics, and their camaraderie was on full display at the event. With Nag Ashwin backing Singeetham’s creative vision, audiences are eager to see what this new experiment in filmmaking will deliver.

During the celebration, Kamal Haasan praised Singeetham’s relentless passion and inventive ideas, stating, “His ideas are always young and hence, it is way ahead of Gen Z. Even at 71, I am still willing to assist him and learn." Kamal added that he would have gladly joined as an assistant if he’d known earlier and highlighted the leap of faith taken by Ashwin and Vyjayanthi for this project.

Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, visibly moved, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Nag Ashwin, saying, “I am indebted to Nag Ashwin as he loves me more than cinema. It was my idea but he stood by me to bring it to life and I cannot thank him enough for that.”
