Superstar Mahesh Babu and director Anil Ravipudi, who previously delivered the blockbuster Sarileru Neekevvaru, have been the subject of intense speculation regarding a new film collaboration. Recent social media chatter suggested that the duo would reunite for a major project, with some reports even claiming a Sankranthi 2028 theatrical release was planned, following Mahesh Babu's commitments to his current film, Varanasi.

However, these reports have now been categorically denied. Anil Ravipudi's team issued a clear statement dismissing the rumours: “Don’t believe any rumours or unverified reports regarding the project of Superstar #MaheshBabu and Hit Machine #AnilRavipudi. The news doing the rounds is completely FALSE and UNTRUE.” According to the clarification, no discussions have taken place between Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi about a new film, and there is no project in the pipeline for the Sankranthi 2028 season.

Mahesh Babu, known for his consistent box office successes, is currently focused on Varanasi. As of now, he has not committed to any film after this project. Industry sources indicate that he is carefully considering his next move, with an official announcement expected next year.
