Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s Varanasi Faces Overseas Filming Challenges
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited film Varanasi, helmed by visionary director SS Rajamouli, is generating immense excitement among movie lovers. Known for his blockbuster streak, Rajamouli is bringing together a stellar cast including Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Prakash Raj for this ambitious project.
Currently, the film’s shoot is underway in Hyderabad, with major portions being canned at the Aluminum Factory and locations near Shamshabad. Interestingly, insiders reveal that the team is utilizing ocean sets previously built for NTR's Devara, directed by Koratala Shiva. Despite reusing sets, Rajamouli’s reputation for grand visuals has fans confident in his ability to deliver cinematic magic.
However, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is posing significant hurdles for the makers, especially in planning crucial overseas schedules. As per reports, Rajamouli is carefully assessing the risks before finalizing international shoots, particularly in locations such as Antarctica, Georgia, and Kenya. The production team has already shot select sequences abroad but is waiting for safer circumstances to resume the remaining portions, aiming for Summer.
With anticipation running high, all eyes are on Rajamouli’s next move as fans eagerly await updates on Varanasi’s globe-spanning adventure.
