Mahesh Babu's name is once again at the centre of Tollywood speculation, with fresh rumours suggesting a possible collaboration with director Sukumar. As Mahesh Babu nears completion of his current project, 'Varanasi', fans and industry insiders are eager to know what his next move will be. Recent buzz on social media platforms like X and Instagram has amplified talk that Sukumar could helm Mahesh Babu's next film, with production houses Mythri Movie Makers and Asian Cinemas reportedly keen to bring the two together.
However, the situation remains unclear. According to reports, Sukumar is already committed to directing Ram Charan's next film, a project expected to be in production for over a year and aiming for a summer 2028 theatrical release. During this period, Mahesh Babu is said to be considering completing two other films, indicating he may not be immediately available for a Sukumar collaboration.
Industry sources note that while Mythri Movie Makers are enthusiastic about making the Mahesh Babu-Sukumar partnership a reality, the actor himself appears hesitant. Past creative differences between Mahesh Babu and Sukumar have been cited, though their professional relationship remains cordial. For now, these discussions are described as speculation, with no official confirmation or announcement from either party.
Social media continues to fuel these rumours, but as of now, there is no concrete evidence that a Mahesh Babu-Sukumar film is on the cards. Both stars have busy schedules, and any potential collaboration would depend on resolving creative and logistical challenges.
